The Crater

The Crater is a collection of short, self-contained stories that span suspense, mystery, and horror. In the second installment, "The Octagonal Mansion," a directionless boy stumbles upon an octagonal mansion that offers him a chance to restart his life. The eighth episode, "The Bell Rings," follows three individuals tormented by the persistent sound of tiny bells, which refuse to let them forget the sins of their past. While some tales reach a joyful resolution, others do not. Yet across every entry, the series is marked by the striking, indelible imagery that characterizes Osamu Tezuka's short-form work.
