Originally broadcast on Animax, this Tachikoma television series distinguishes itself from the earlier "Tachikoma na Hibi" shorts that served as supplementary content for Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and 2nd GIG. This special version features extended narratives inspired by a variety of Japanese and Orthodox folklore traditions. The complete collection of Tachikoma shorts was subsequently re-released together in a Blu-ray box set.
