Maken X Another

Adapted from the Dreamcast video game Maken X, this story follows Kay, an ordinary teenager whose life is upended by an accident at her father's scientific research institute. Forced to become the wielder of Machina—a strangely shaped sword capable of capturing human souls—she finds herself battling grotesque fiends in the world of "Images," a nightmarish realm born from the imagination of every character who dwells within it. In this distorted world, moral certainties collapse: enemies become friends, good turns to evil, and evil turns to good. Kay must continue her fight in a domain known as "5 Minutes into the Future."
