Teiden Shoujo to Hanemushi no Orchestra

Humans, burdened by the darkness within their hearts, have lost the light in their eyes and wander blindly through despair. In their deepest gloom, they encounter creatures known as hotaru, each bearing a faint, warm glow. These beings share their light with humanity and begin to live alongside them. However, in a world marred by ugliness and bloodshed, the hotaru population steadily dwindles. Driven by greed, humans begin hunting the very creatures that sustain them, sacrificing hotaru lives for profit. Nemu, a hotaru who has lost her own light, forms a contract with an abandoned infant named Haibane. Together, Haibane embarks on a quest to find a way to restore Nemu’s vanished radiance.
