Kirarin Revolution

Fourteen-year-old Kirari Tsukishima is a beautiful girl whose thoughts are consumed entirely by food rather than romance or the entertainment industry. Her single-minded devotion to eating leaves her oblivious to matters of the heart until she rescues a turtle stuck in a tree. The pet’s owner, a kind and handsome boy named Seiji, offers her a ticket to a concert by the popular idol group SHIPS as a token of his gratitude. On her way to the show, Kirari encounters another boy who tears up her ticket and warns her to stay away from Seiji, insisting that they belong to different worlds. Undeterred, she sneaks into the venue only to discover that both Seiji and her detractor, Hiroto, are actually members of SHIPS. Realizing that “different worlds” refers to the vast gap between an ordinary middle school student and a famous idol, Kirari refuses to be discouraged. Driven by her determination to be with Seiji, she resolves to become an idol herself.
