Master wizard Mushano Kouji teaches magic to children but agrees to take on an unlikely apprentice when thirty-six-year-old Sakurada Tsukihito asks to learn. Though Sakurada shows no aptitude for magic, he excels at housework, making him a useful presence in Kouji’s home. Yet beneath his domestic helpfulness lies a persistent question: why is this man so determined to master magic despite his apparent lack of talent?
