Love Letter

Based on a true story, Love Letter follows two teenagers, Toshio Anazawa and Chieko, who fall in love during World War II. After Toshio enlists in a kamikaze special unit, he writes one final letter to Chieko before embarking on his mission. Shinichi Nagakawa and Yuuki Sanada die together in an accident but are granted a second chance at life. They are allowed to live for seven more days under the condition that one of them must die permanently when the time expires. Furthermore, they must share all emotions and physical sensations, including guilt and pain, and are forbidden from separating; if they leave each other’s side, both will perish immediately. The story explores how they navigate these seven bound days together. Azusa serves as the concluding one-shot story included in Kouji Seo’s Love Letter collected volume.
