Melty Blood

Based on the doujin fighting game *Melty Blood* by Watanabe Seisakujo (now French-Bread), this manga serves as one of two side-story sequels set roughly a year after Arcueid's "good ending" in Type-Moon's original visual novel, *Tsukihime*. A year has passed since the serial vampire homicide case concluded with the deaths of Nrvnqsr Chaos and Roa/SHIKI Tohno. However, rumors of a new wave of serial murders have begun to spread across the city, prompting Shiki Tohno to resume his nightly patrols in search of the phantom killer. During his investigation, he crosses paths and clashes with a mysterious woman named Sion Eltnam Atlasia, a member of the Atlas Alchemists affiliated with the Church who is dedicated to discovering a cure for vampirism. To advance her research, Sion requires data from Arcueid Brunestud, the last True Ancestor. Achieving her goal proves complicated. Ciel is independently scouring the streets for the rumored murderer, Akiha has been behaving unusually over the past several days, and Arcueid herself has been missing for some time—raising the unsettling question of whether she might be behind the killings.
