RahXephon

In the year 2012, Japan is invaded by the Mu, human-like beings from another dimension with blue blood. Six years later, in 2015, Tokyo is attacked by unknown invaders, which are repelled by a humanoid weapon called a Dolem. Amidst the chaos, Ayato Kamina meets Reika Mishima, a classmate, and becomes embroiled in a series of events that will change his life forever. He is pursued by government officials, but is aided by Haruka, a woman sent by the Organization TERRA, who informs him that Tokyo has been sealed in a time rift, where time flows at a third of the normal pace. As Ayato navigates this new reality, he discovers a mysterious woman named Reika, who leads him to the Room of Rah, a massive egg containing the Dolem RahXephon. The Dolem is born through Reika's singing, and Ayato's mother appears, having been connected to the Dolem that had stopped the TERRA invasion. As the battle rages on, Ayato's mother is injured, and he flees Tokyo Jupiter with Haruka, witnessing his mother's encounter with the TERRA invaders and their blue blood.
