Basilisk: The Kouga Ninja Scrolls

In feudal Japan, the Iga and Kouga clans have been sworn enemies for over 400 years, their animosity kept in check by the Hanzo Hattori truce. However, with the dissolution of the truce under the order of Shogun Ieyasu Tokugawa, ten ninja from each clan are pitted against each other in a fight to the death. The winning clan will claim the next Tokugawa Shogun and rule for a thousand years. Against this backdrop of violence and betrayal, a forbidden love blossoms between Oboro of the Iga clan and Gennosuke of the Kouga clan. Can their romance conquer the centuries-old rivalry, or will it be doomed to end in death?
