In the minds of Japanese people, tanukis are mysterious animals. They can use a kind of illusion similar to blindfolding. Their bodies can change into any shape, or they can turn leaves into money or something to deceive humans. In "The Variety of Tanuki", a group of tanukis living near Tokyo want to use this illusion to scare humans and put the community construction project on hold.
