In the quiet little hamlet of Twilight Town, a boy named Roxas lives a peaceful life surrounded by his friends Hayner, Pence, and Olette. As they attempt to make the most of their final days of summer vacation, a series of strange events unfolds. The group is falsely accused of stealing photos from around town, and they are soon attacked by bizarre, white creatures. Roxas also experiences recurring dreams of a boy named Sora, and his life becomes further complicated by the presence of a mysterious girl named Naminé, who harbors a secret that she is determined to share with him.
