In the dawn of the Golden Age of Aviation on the planet Prester, retro-futuristic sky vehicles known as van ships dominate the horizon. Claus Valca, a skilled flyboy, and his navigator Lavie are fearless racers and sky couriers, obsessed with becoming the first to cross the Grand Stream in a vanship. However, their quest is disrupted when they encounter a mysterious girl named Alvis, and are drawn into an endless battle between the two warring nations of Anatoray and Disith. According to the code of chivalric warfare, these countries systematically destroy each other, and the duo's attempts to bring peace to their world are tested as they unravel the riddle of its chaotic core. As Claus and Lavie navigate the complexities of war and politics, they must face the consequences of their actions and the legacy that will be left in their wake.
