Summary

Takaya is sent to Kyoto to investigate the re-awakening of the Ikko sect, with the help of his vassal Haruie, he successfully tracks down Araki Murashige, a former member who deserted the clan. However, when they meet, Haruie recognizes Araki as Shintarou, her past-life lover, and is ordered by Takaya to eliminate him, a threat to their mission. Meanwhile, Takaya encounters Naoe, as he navigates the complex and ancient world of the Ikko sect and its mysterious, 400-year-old mandala.
