The Astray series is set on the periphery of the main Mobile Suit Gundam SEED storyline, focusing on the three MBF-P0x mobile suit prototypes and their respective pilots. The MBF-P02 Astray Red Frame is piloted by Lowe Guele of the Junk Guild, while Gai Murakumo of the mercenary group Serpent Tail pilots the MBF-P03 Astray Blue Frame. The primary antagonist, Orb nobleman Rondo Ghina Sahaku, initially pilots the MBF-P01 Astray Gold Frame, which is later taken by his twin sister Rondo Mina Sahaku.
