Slam Dunk

In the midst of his 50th consecutive rejection in middle school, Hanamichi Sakuragi transfers to Shohoku High, seeking to change his fortunes with women. His intimidating presence, however, makes him an outcast among his peers. Despite his initial disdain for basketball, Hanamichi finds himself drawn into the sport after meeting Haruko Akagi, a kind and gentle girl who sees beyond his troubled exterior. As he begins to participate in the school's basketball team, Hanamichi must confront his own limitations and learn to work with others in order to overcome his personal struggles and prove himself on the court.
