The Division of Haruhi Suzumiya

The ninth volume of the Haruhi Suzumiya series opens as the new term begins. Kasuga and Kyon have moved up to their second year of high school, and the SOS Brigade turns its attention to recruiting new members. During one of the club’s activities, Kyon receives a visit from Sasaki, a friend from his junior high days. After exchanging a few words with the other brigade members, Sasaki leaves. Not long afterward, Kyon runs into Sasaki again by chance. At a restaurant he knows well, he discovers that Sasaki is accompanied by espers and people with superpowers—and that the superpowers he encountered during the “conspiracy” are among them. What is really going on?
