In a future where humanity has colonized space, a tyrannical Earth Government exercises control over the inhabitants of the orbiting space colonies known as Sides. Frustrated with the oppression and cruelty of their rulers, a group of revolutionaries design and construct five advanced mobile suits called Gundams, which they intend to deploy on Earth as part of Operation Meteor, a plan to spark a full-scale rebellion against the government. The five teenage pilots, each hailing from different backgrounds and united by their desire for freedom, will become the vanguard of this insurrection, piloting their Gundams as they descend to Earth to ignite the flames of revolution.
