The second installment in the *Haruhi Suzumiya* series finds Haruhi, who founded the SOS Brigade to play games with aliens, espers, and time travelers, most concerned with planning the most entertaining activities for the school cultural festival. A simple singing performance is no longer enough. Haruhi’s former "leader" armband has been replaced with a "director" title, and filming has begun on the Brigade’s first movie, *The Adventures of Asahina Mikuru*. Asahina is once again dressed up as the centerpiece, and moments such as gray pigeons turning white, Mikuru firing lasers, and a talking cat are sure to surprise.
