At seventeen years of age, Miyamoto Musashi, still known as Shinmen Takezo, is a young warrior embarking on the path of the sword. Following the Battle of Sekigahara, Takezo is a fugitive on the losing side of the war, hunted and ostracized due to his brutal nature. An eccentric monk and a childhood friend may be the only ones who can guide him in finding his way, a crucial turning point in Takezo's life.
