Takumi Fujiwara is a high school student who lives in a mountain town, where he spends his nights driving his father's Toyota AE86 on delivery runs. With no interest in cars, Takumi's skills behind the wheel are more a result of his natural instincts and reflexes than any actual knowledge. However, when he encounters RedSuns, a group of street racers who are dominating the mountain passes, Takumi's innate abilities are noticed and he is challenged to a high-stakes competition. As Takumi becomes increasingly drawn into the world of street racing, he must decide whether to face the challenges that come with it or retreat back to his quiet, unassuming life.
