The Portrait of Nine Yin Beauties

The Beauty Painting demands a horrifying price: a woman's flesh and blood, ground down into powder, her soul drawn into the canvas—only through this ritual can nine women endure in the world forever. Yang at its extreme must turn to yin, and yin at its extreme must turn to yang. My grandfather told me I was born with a Nine Yang destiny, and that if I wanted to survive, a woman had to remain at my side. Every two years, a woman of breathtaking beauty would arrive at our home. She would share my meals, live under the same roof, and never leave my side for even a moment. Then, two years later, each one would vanish without explanation—while the Beauty Painting hanging in our house gained one more graceful silhouette. The year I turned eighteen, because of one woman, I finally uncovered the cruel truth behind the painting. And with that revelation, I was dragged into a swirling vortex of mystery, sinister secrets, and the strange and grotesque.
