To him, the world had long ceased to offer anything but disillusionment. Heroes were hollow—spouting empty rhetoric mid-battle, more concerned with image than conviction. Villains were embarrassingly petty, committing crimes so trivial they barely warranted notice. His peers moved in lockstep, thoughtless and compliant, while his own reflection offered nothing but a weak, pitiful shell he despised. Frustrated by the mediocrity that surrounded him and trapped within his own inadequacy, the boy resolved to break the cycle entirely—not by aspiring to the tired ideals of heroism, but by forging himself into something far more compelling: the ultimate Supervillain. Aloof, noble, and terrifyingly strong, he would transcend the world’s banality and reshape it in his own image. Yet the path to becoming a true supervillain demands more than mere willpower. He must cast off the very weaknesses that define his current self, mastering both his own limits and the cynical systems that govern society. Every failed hero and insignificant crook becomes a lesson; every conformist classmate, a reminder of what he refuses to become. His quest is not for chaos, but for a twisted form of perfection—a dark elegance that challenges the status quo with calculated ruthlessness. As he sheds his former identity, the line between liberation and corruption blurs, and he must confront whether his transformation will save him or doom him entirely. Dai Akutou Shonen delivers this provocative coming-of-dark-age tale from Koume Fujichika, acclaimed creator of *The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses*, presented by UP! Global.
