Lost In Reverie

Eugenie Lin, an ordinary high school student, never imagined her path would cross with Juan Shen — a name whose reputation is as infamous as it is intimidating. Yet their first meeting takes place in the most unlikely of settings: his tattoo parlor, where the hum of a needle and walls covered in ink lend the encounter an unmistakable edge of danger. What Eugenie assumes is nothing more than a strange, one-time brush with the notorious boy is, in truth, only the opening move of a plan fate has quietly set in motion. When the new school year begins, coincidence delivers a startling surprise — Juan Shen turns out to be her new deskmate. Seated side by side day after day, Eugenie can no longer avoid the very person everyone else keeps at arm's length. But closeness has a way of revealing what rumors conceal, and behind Juan's tough exterior, Eugenie gradually discovers a softer, more guarded side that few have ever bothered to look for. As wariness gives way to understanding, Eugenie begins to suspect that their chance encounter was never chance at all — and that fate, having placed them together, is only just beginning its work.
