Choegangui Romanticist

Ryu U-Jin has never known defeat. As the undisputed strongest fighter at Dupaul High—a battleground notorious for being the most violent school in the country—his fists have earned him a reputation that makes even the toughest delinquents think twice. But beneath the scarred knuckles and cold stare lies a secret that would shatter his fearsome image: Ryu is a hopeless romantic. By day, he brawls his way through the hallways; by night, he devours romance novels and pours his heart into drawing webtoons, dreaming of crafting a love story that feels as real as the punches he throws. Frustrated by the brutal, loveless atmosphere of his all-fighter school, Ryu makes a drastic decision. He transfers to an ordinary co-ed institution, hoping to trade his daily fistfights for fleeting glances, shy confessions, and the sweet, mundane drama he has only ever read about. His mission is simple—soak up authentic romantic experiences and channel them into his art—but the reality of high school romance proves far more complicated than the pages of his favorite novels suggest. Between dodging his old reputation and navigating a social landscape where no one is eager to throw down or fall in love, Ryu quickly learns that true romance refuses to follow a script. Now, armed with nothing but his fierce determination and a notebook full of sketches, the former brawler must face his toughest opponent yet: the chaos of ordinary teenage life. Can a boy who only knows how to fight find the gentle muse he needs to complete his masterpiece, or will his search for perfect love material leave him more bruised than any battle ever could?
