Koibito Swap

Yuusuke Midorikawa had finally achieved what had once seemed like an impossible dream: he turned his long-standing childhood affection for Kayo Yoshioka into a real relationship. After years of silent pining, the confession had been a triumph, and officially becoming lovers felt like the start of everything he had ever wanted. Yet, the reality of romance proves more complicated than he imagined. Lately, a quiet distance has crept between them—Kayo's responses are shorter, her smiles less frequent, and the easy companionship they once shared feels strained. Yuusuke finds himself trapped in a spiral of worry, questioning what went wrong, until a single, devastating moment shatters his fragile peace: he spots Kayo leaving a karaoke venue in the company of another boy, their easy rapport unmistakable. Haunted by confusion and a growing sense of betrayal, Yuusuke arrives at school the next day barely holding himself together. That is when Kotone Shiraki, a strikingly pretty classmate he barely knows, approaches him with a calm, deliberate air. She reveals that the boy from the karaoke bar is her own boyfriend, Iketani, and her eyes hold a knowing glint that suggests she understands more than she lets on. In that unexpected exchange, two strangers united by a shared predicament find themselves at a crossroads. As their paths entwine, the vibrant, messy colors of youth begin to shift, promising a romantic comedy that walks the fine line between heartache and hope—one that leans decidedly more toward the sweet than the bitter, even as it confronts the raw uncertainties of first love.
