Kyou kara Hajimeru Osananajimi

For as long as she can remember, Kaede has dreamed of having a childhood friend—precisely the kind of bond she admires in the manga she devours. In those stories, such companions share a lifetime of memories, inside jokes, and effortless closeness, and she has always envied the characters lucky enough to call someone their lifelong friend. Her life takes a turn when she moves into a new home, only to discover that her classmate Kouhei now lives right next door. When he cheerfully offers to help her out with anything she needs, Kaede seizes the moment and makes the most unexpected request of all: "Will you be my childhood friend?" What follows is a heartwarming and playful journey as the two set out to recreate every quintessential childhood-friend experience they can think of. Piece by piece, Kaede and Kouhei build the memories she has always wished for, turning an ordinary neighborhood into the perfect setting for her favorite kind of story.
