Vermeil in Gold: The Failing Student and the Strongest Scourge Plunge Into the World of Magic

Alto’s path to becoming a respected mage has been nothing short of arduous. Plagued by mediocre talent and faltering spellwork, the young student stands on the precipice of academic failure—facing the humiliation of repeating a grade at the royal magic academy. In a desperate bid to turn his fortunes around, he stumbles upon an ancient, forbidden grimoire hidden within the school’s archives. Driven by curiosity, he unwittingly breaks the seal on the tome, unleashing a torrent of crimson energy that gives form to Vermeil—a legendary demoness of catastrophic power who has slumbered for centuries. Far from a meek servant, Vermeil is a force of nature wrapped in allure and mischief. Her very existence once threatened to plunge the world into ruin, and she wields forbidden magic that defies the laws of sorcery. Yet despite her apocalyptic reputation, she possesses a playful, unapologetically wanton demeanor that leaves Alto perpetually off-balance and flustered. Bound by the summoning pact, she becomes his familiar, transforming his stagnant life into a whirlwind of chaos, danger, and unexpected passion. As Alto struggles to control the volatile demon tethered to his soul, he must navigate the jealousies of his peers, the suspicions of the academy, and the terrifying truth that her awakening may have already set old, deadly forces into motion. This is the story of a failing magician and his devastatingly powerful familiar—an unorthodox partnership forged in the embers of a world on the brink, where trust is their only shield and desire their greatest vulnerability.
