The Artifact Restorer

This is not a story about trust, but about mutual restoration. It is not a tale of clinging to life, but a deliberate choice to be remembered. Two spirits who refuse to fade away find themselves bound by their unique methods of survival: one rejects consumption by replacing their essence with metal, while the other refuses to be treated as a mere genetic source by locking their telomeres within narratives. Together, they redefine what it means to be human. Their existence proves that humanity is not found in living for an infinite duration, but in being remembered by a finite few for every choice made without the need for reset.
