A Bona fide Killer

Yu Bona appears to be just another working mother easing back into the office grind after maternity leave—but her cubicle is a high-rise rooftop, and her daily commute ends at the wrong end of a sniper scope. Her first assignment back is a clean, clinical shot from a distant perch into a hotel room window, a single pull of the trigger that signals the return of "Kingfisher," the ghost-like assassin who once haunted the underworld. Bona slips back into the role with chilling ease, balancing baby bottles and bullet casings as she systematically eliminates a new roster of high-value targets. Yet shadows are never cast in isolation. Her husband, Taesung, is a tenacious news reporter who has just been handed the story of a lifetime: an exclusive investigation into the sudden, bloody resurgence of the Kingfisher. As he digs deeper, connecting the dots between the city's rising body count and the elusive hitman, Bona finds herself navigating a deadly paradox. With every target she neutralizes, her husband's deadlines draw closer to the truth, and the careful boundaries she has constructed between her domestic life and her lethal profession begin to erode. The kitchen table conversations turn into minefields, and the scent of gunpowder threatens to cling to her scent of laundry detergent, forcing Bona to confront a harrowing question—how long can she protect her family from the monster they are hunting?
