Majo no Shikkounin

For a century and a half, since the witches first descended from the moon, this nation has cultivated a fragile harmony between humanity and magic. Their presence is woven into the fabric of society, a bond carefully nurtured by the state. But this coexistence comes at a price: a strict legal code that every practitioner must obey. Those who dare to defy these laws do not simply vanish into the shadows—they are hunted. From within the witches' own ranks, a solitary figure is chosen to serve as the Enforcer, a judge and executioner tasked with upholding the sacred covenant and bringing rogue magic to heel. Natalia is one such Enforcer, bearing the weight of her duty with grim resolve. Her life is a cycle of tracking down the wayward and the dangerous, until a routine mission shatters her expectations. She stumbles upon a young boy, his body and soul ravaged by a terrible curse—a blight that reeks of forbidden sorcery. The encounter plunges her into a mystery far deeper than a simple act of defiance. As she peels back the layers of his affliction, Natalia begins to question whether she is merely an instrument of the law, or whether her true purpose lies in uncovering a conspiracy that threatens to unravel the very treaty the witches and humans have sworn to protect.
