The Golden Boy

Kintarou Oe is a 20-year-old university student who has completed his coursework but elected not to graduate. He travels the country on his bicycle, taking on various jobs to support himself and learn about the world and women. Despite his good intentions, Kintarou's lack of commitment and tendency to abandon those who grow close to him causes him to form fleeting relationships with the women he meets. His journey takes him to a variety of locations and introduces him to a diverse cast of characters, each of whom is drawn to his charismatic personality and strong work ethic.
