Golden Boy

Kintarou Ooe, aged 25, withdrew from the Faculty of Law at the University of Tokyo—though entirely of his own accord, having already fulfilled all graduation requirements. Since then, he has drifted through a succession of odd jobs, all while continuing his ongoing education in the school of life. On the surface, he appears to be a hapless, good-natured slacker with little direction. Yet beneath that unassuming facade, he quietly untangles the various problems of those around him, often without their knowledge. By the time others come to recognize his true capabilities, however, Kintarou has already moved on.
