Henkyou no Renkinjutsushi: Imasara Yosan Zero no Shokuba ni Modoru Toka Moumuri

Roost is an alchemist dedicated to basic research, but the Alchemist Guild’s bureaucrats fail to understand the value of his work and cut his budget to zero for the coming fiscal year. Seeing no future for himself within the organization, he chooses to resign. What the guild does not realize is that Roost is actually the world’s finest alchemist, capable of producing materials of extraordinary quality that no one else can recreate. Once Roost leaves, the guild is thrown into disarray, but by then it is already too late. Free from the restrictions of his former workplace, Roost begins a quiet, unhurried life on the frontier, where he can develop new alchemy at his own pace and leave his former colleagues to face the consequences of their short-sighted decision.
