Koi yori Aoku

Takamine has never been able to find anything she truly loves, drifting through her days with a quiet sense of emptiness. Sakikura, by contrast, is a girl whose heart belongs entirely to books—the pages of her favorite stories are where she feels most at home. Though they seem to occupy opposite ends of the spectrum, a chance encounter after school brings the two of them together. From that day on, their after-school hours begin to belong to one another. Side by side, the two girls share the quiet stretch of time that follows the final bell, filling it with a companionship neither of them quite expected. And yet, as their days together quietly accumulate, a question lingers between them: what exactly are they to each other? Are they simply friends, joined by a label that comes easily? Or is this something without definition—a delicate, nameless bond slowly woven between two girls, still waiting for the right words to describe it?
