Whispering Tiger: Jangsanbeom

When a harsh, cutting text arrives from his roommate, Geon-Pil is left baffled—though hardly alarmed. His puzzlement only deepens when Yeon-Seung finally comes home, for the man who walks through the door is not quite the one who left it. Something about him has changed at a fundamental level, yet Geon-Pil, unfazed as ever, doesn't think much of it at first. The new Yeon-Seung, however, is ruled by a primal, bottomless hunger—one he refuses to contain. He channels that voracious appetite into his casual, no-strings arrangement with Geon-Pil, pushing their relationship to extremes neither of them has ever known. Time and again, their encounters grow wilder and more ferocious, and with each one, a quiet unease takes root in Geon-Pil's mind: something is very wrong with the man in his arms. Whispers of danger urge him to pull away before it's too late. Yet the more time Geon-Pil spends with this transformed partner—unsettlingly forthright, unmistakably dangerous—the harder it becomes to let him go. He is growing far too comfortable with someone who may, in the end, devour him whole.
