BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War - The Conflict

In the third installment of BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War, Yhwach advances to the final phase of his plan after his awe-inspiring confrontation with Ichibei Hyousube, leader of the Soul Society’s Royal Guard. His objective is to kill the Soul King, the being whose existence sustains the balance among three worlds: Hueco Mundo, the Soul Society, and the human realm that Ichigo Kurosaki and his closest friends call home. Having overcome the remaining Royal Guard, Uryuu Ishida joins Yhwach in his campaign to fashion a new world in his own image. Driven by resolve and newly awakened power, Ichigo races to stop Yhwach from achieving his ultimate goal and to protect the countless lives across the three existing realms. Yet Ichigo’s complicated lineage leaves him vulnerable to Yhwach’s sinister influence. Meanwhile, in a final desperate gambit, Jirou Sakuranosuke Shunsui Kyouraku—newly promoted head captain of the Soul Society’s combat corps—seeks aid from an old enemy whose immense power may turn the tide of battle.
