BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War - The Separation

The second part of BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War opens amid the aftermath of a devastating surprise attack by the forces of Quincy King Yhwach. The Soul Reapers of the Soul Society tend their wounds and mourn their fallen. Many surviving captains must now train to fight without Bankai, the ultimate technique of the fiercest warriors. During the previous assault, Ichigo Kurosaki barely helped repel Yhwach's fearsome wrath. To ultimately defeat his godlike adversary and save his allies, Ichigo must endure severe training that pushes him beyond his physical, emotional, and mental limits. Yet Yhwach already holds the upper hand in their ongoing blood feud, and he successfully recruits Uryuu Ishida, Ichigo's close friend and rival, as his successor. Yhwach strikes once more at the weakened Soul Society, determined to obliterate his long-standing enemies. As Ichigo struggles to attain new power, the Soul Reaper captains fight for survival and borrowed time.
