Summary

Official Details
The Kuguu family has produced daughters blessed with purifying power for generations, serving as shrine maidens to protect their village. Yuzuki, the elder of twin sisters born into this lineage, wields far greater purifying abilities than her younger sibling, Mizuki. Yet despite her strength, she is cast aside by her family because of a dragon-shaped mark on her back, which they consider a symbol of ill fortune. To preserve Mizuki’s image as the princess shrine maiden beloved by the villagers, the family conveniently exploits Yuzuki’s powers behind the scenes. Tired of being treated as nothing more than a tool, Yuzuki longs for freedom and dreams of escaping her family to seek the source of a mysterious voice she has heard on occasion since childhood. But just as that hope is shattered and she sinks into utter despair, a colossal dragon—a god of calamity—appears in the sky. Offered up as a sacrifice in her sister’s place, Yuzuki is suddenly overwhelmed by a vision of her past life. Then, the dragon god Sogyoku Seotsu takes human form and draws her into his arms. “I will never let you go again… My bride.” Cast into the role of sacrifice instead of her younger sister, the true princess shrine maiden at last learns of the sacred promise forged between the dragon god and his bride in a lifetime long since past.
