xxxHOLiC Rou

A decade after the events of *xxxHOLiC Shunmuki*, a pensive Kimihiro Watanuki now operates the shop once overseen by the inscrutable Yuuko, honoring a vow he made to her. He resides in quiet contentment alongside his companions Maru, Moro, and Mokona, with familiar faces occasionally passing through—among them his erstwhile rival turned loyal friend Shizuka Doumeki, and the former child psychic prodigy Kohane Tsuyuri. While Kohane pursues her folklore studies under Doumeki at the university, the two come across a case that proves tailor-made for the shop's master. In due course, Watanuki is visited by Doumeki's grandfather, Haruka, who entreats him to investigate his grandson's dreams. Once inside the dreamscape, Watanuki bears witness to how their past escapades unfolded from Doumeki's perspective, an experience that ultimately unveils concealed truths from ten years ago and exposes long-hidden secrets concerning the very threads that weave their friendship together.
