Ms. President Wants to Talk with You

After transmigrating into a parallel world—the Norton Federation in 1933—Elinor Hopkins quickly realizes things are far from ideal. The economy is in ruins, banks are failing, unemployment is skyrocketing. It looks exactly like the Great Depression. But the incoming president is rumored to be a witch? And she has just survived an assassination attempt? Not a good sign. Fortunately, Elinor awakens a Large Language System capable of organizing information and drafting plans. He is ready to start from scratch and make his mark. The system's very first directive, however, catches him off guard: "Become an advisor to Miss Rosifu, and help her impersonate her deceased mother in order to assume the presidency of the Norton Federation." Elinor: "Excuse me?" What follows is a whirlwind of power and control—his ruthless methods are summed up in a cynical rhyme: all personal gains are handed over, ninety-five out of every hundred go straight to him, and everyone knows what he is capable of. History, they say, will remember Elinor Hopkins as the President's closest comrade, the uncrowned king of the Norton Federation, the sternest disciplinarian of capitalists, and the most merciless dismantler of old-world empires. To which Elinor replies: "Well said, I completely agree!"
