Terada Youhei leads an otherwise unremarkable high school life, distinguished only by a peculiar secret: he possesses the ability to see ghosts. This solitary gift leads him to the school rooftop one fateful night, where he comes face-to-face with the spectral resident known only as "Rooftop Rinko-san." Trapped in an eternal adolescence, Rinko's earthly existence was marked by a profound loneliness—she never managed to make a single friend during her lifetime. The rumors surrounding her ghostly nature paint a grim picture. Folklore suggests that any living soul who encounters her will be doomed to remain on that rooftop forever, never to descend again. Yet, as Youhei quickly discovers, the reality is far less chilling and far more absurd. Rinko is, by all accounts, an utterly incompetent ghost—clumsy, forgetful, and completely incapable of the intimidation her legend implies. Instead of a terrifying haunting, Youhei finds himself navigating a series of comical misadventures with this hapless spirit. Their unexpected bond blossoms into a hilariously chaotic friendship, as the ordinary student and the hopeless ghost girl learn to navigate the supernatural and the mundane together—all from the peculiar confines of their school's rooftop.
