Yagami is Still Mean Today

At the high school entrance ceremony, Shizuku finds herself on an unexpected mission—not for herself, but for a friend too shy to approach the school's most talked-about new student. Though she has no particular interest in handsome boys, she steels herself and steps forward to make contact with the renowned Yagami. But in a moment of confusion, she soon realizes she has addressed the wrong person entirely. The young man before her is not the charismatic Yagami, but Kaede—his twin brother, whose reputation couldn't be more different. Where his sibling draws admiration, Kaede exudes a biting, abrasive sharpness. Rather than appreciate her polite gesture, he turns the situation on its head with a demand that floors her: become his girlfriend. Shizuku is taken aback by his audacity, his hostile attitude far removed from the warm image she had expected. She refuses outright, unwilling to be pushed around by someone so brusque and overbearing. Yet even after her clear rejection, Kaede's interest doesn't waver—nor does his infuriatingly bold demeanor. Shizuku walks away certain she wants nothing to do with him, but the troubling encounter lingers in her mind. As the first day of school unfolds, she begins to sense that Kaede is not a boy who accepts "no" easily, and that this strange, unwanted connection may only grow more complicated from here.
