Deep within a prison lurks a creature whispered of only in terror—the Butcher Demon, a repulsive monster said to devour women and leave death scattered in its wake. Yet this nightmare was not born a monster. Once a man, the protagonist was betrayed by his fellow humans and seized by otherworldly beings, who remade his body into the very beast now feared and called the Butcher. Though fragments of his human life remain, they are cruelly incomplete: he cannot remember his own name, and his transformed form denies him even the power of speech. Day after day, he is forced to obey alien overseers who take the forms of elves, dwarves, and goblins, subjecting the women held captive within the prison to unspeakable degradation at their command. But the relentless horror of his existence is slowly forging something new inside the deadliest of monsters. Every atrocity committed under orders stokes a smoldering hatred, until the nameless creature finally swears vengeance against those who made him—and resolves to tear his way out of the prison in a breakout fueled by revenge.
