Ganso Derorinman

Ganso Derorinman follows the absurd yet oddly touching misadventures of a down-on-his-luck father whose botched attempt to end his own life leaves him alive and saddled with a face permanently marked by scars. Reinventing himself under the name "Derorinman," a moniker spun from the word "derelict," he stumbles through his days as the town's most conspicuous failure. The series stands among the earliest works to run in Weekly Shonen Jump. Much of his time is spent drifting about town in the company of the local children, who serve as both his companions and his audience. Just as frequently, he sets his sights on romance, mounting earnest but hopeless campaigns to win the affections of the town's women—efforts that collapse into embarrassment with unwavering consistency. Standing opposite him is Orokamen, a masked antagonist whose very name brands him a fool, and who never misses a chance to heckle Derorinman as exactly that.
