Reiri

The year is 1579, during Japan's Sengoku Period. Reiri, a young woman who has lost everything, has committed herself wholly to the pursuit of strength and to finding her end upon the battlefield. She once lived happily with her family—until the day soldiers arrived in the wake of a battle. So that she might survive, her father, mother, and brother gave their lives, and Reiri herself was spared only through the intervention of Okabe Tanpa no Kami, who had been sheltering in the village. Serving under him, she grew and trained into a capable fighter, driven by her single-minded goal of dying in battle. Yet the path to the death she seeks may prove neither as short nor as straight as she hopes.
