You Asked for a Political Drama, He Wrote "Ming Dynasty 1566

Chen Yu wakes up to find himself competing in a live-streamed screenwriting reality show, where contestants must craft scripts based on given prompts. When the show announces the theme—"Political Machiavellianism"—Chen Yu's mind instantly flashes to Emperor Jiajing's iconic line: "My money! They take two million, I get one million, and I'm supposed to thank them?" Then comes Yan Maoging's "smoke of corruption," and Young Grandmaster Yan's explosive retort: "I'll smash your f***ing head!" Without hesitation, he writes down "Ming Dynasty 1566." By the finale, the audience is left in utter awe. They hail it as one of the finest historical scripts China has ever produced, speculating on the heights a filmed adaptation could reach. Many declare that the political intrigue in Game of Thrones pales in comparison. Chen Yu's casting choices are equally praised—Chen Baoguo as the Jiajing Emperor and Zhang Zhijian as the Young Grandmaster feel so vivid they seem to step right off the page. Then the next prompt arrives: "Tragic Heroism." Chen Yu picks up his pen and writes: "Chief Qi: Damn you, Heaven!"
