Mimi Usazaki is a university student trapped in the gray haze of depression. Each day bleeds into the next as she shuttles between psychiatric appointments and the suffocating monotony of campus life, her spirit slowly eroding under the weight of an existence that offers no reprieve. But when she inadvertently stumbles into a clandestine and bizarre experiment, the fragile routine of her world shatters completely. The procedure forces an impossible fusion upon her: she becomes the unwilling vessel for the consciousness of Hyou Usazaki, her estranged younger brother—a man now condemned to death row, his fate sealed by crimes that drove a permanent wedge between them. Mimi soon discovers that she is not the experiment's only subject. Other death row inmates, each harboring their own darkness, have undergone the same grotesque procedure and now roam with their consciousnesses grafted into new hosts. A savage, high-stakes struggle erupts among them, transforming the city into a battlefield where only the strongest—or the most ruthless—will survive. For Mimi, the contest is a waking nightmare; every confrontation forces her to confront not only her own fragile psyche but also the volatile presence of the brother she lost long ago. As alliances shift and danger closes in from all sides, she must navigate a deadly game where the line between protector and prisoner blurs. Her brother's consciousness offers both a lifeline and a curse, and Mimi is left to wonder whether their fractured bond will be the key to her survival—or the very thing that drags her into an abyss from which there is no return.
