The Story of Our Unlikely Love

Chihiro Hiyoshi is the kind of student every teacher hopes for—kind-hearted, diligent, and devoted to her post as class representative. She takes her responsibilities seriously, determined to serve her classmates faithfully no matter what it takes. The same cannot be said, however, for the boy who shares her position. Haruka Kisaragi has little interest in duty—and even less in shaking the reputation that follows him. Rumors of every kind swirl around the notorious delinquent, and he seems perfectly content to let them. On the surface, he and Chihiro could not be more different. Yet when a chance encounter briefly brings their lives together, an unsteady bond forms between them, fragile and uncertain, leaving neither of them quite sure what to make of it. For a good girl like Chihiro, a bad boy like Haruka may simply prove too much to handle. But as their uneasy connection lingers, something unexpected begins to stir beneath the surface: her earnest, sincere nature may have awakened a hidden softness in him as well—one that neither of them ever anticipated.
