In the aftermath of the Great East Japan earthquake, the town of Morioh—the same setting familiar from Diamond is Unbreakable, though now placed within the alternate continuity of Steel Ball Run—is gripped by an unexplained phenomenon. Massive bulges of earth have risen from the ground, formations the locals have come to call the Wall Eyes. Despite repeated investigation, experts can offer no conclusive answers, leaving the community to live uneasily alongside the mystery. It is here that a young woman named Yasuho Hirose stumbles upon something buried within the soil: a man bearing a distinctive star-shaped birthmark and a set of deep, penetrating bite marks. He remembers nothing of who he is or how he came to rest beneath the earth. Taken in by a local family, he is given a new name—Josuke Higashikata. Yet a fresh identity brings him no closer to the truth. Strange and inexplicable events continue to pile up around him, and before long the enigmatic power known as a Stand reveals itself, deepening the fog of uncertainty that shrouds his forgotten past.
